2026 SKITOPS MOUNTAIN NETWORK & UNIVERSITY

We are thrilled to welcome SkiTOPS to Big Sky, Montana in April of 2026!

Big Sky Resort is a world-class mountain destination home to North America's most technologically advanced lift network. Located in the Northern Rockies of southwest Montana, Big Sky is situated between Bozeman and Yellowstone National Park. The resort features 5,850 acres of terrain across 40 lifts and more than 300 named trails.

This season, we're opening our thirteenth lift in our decade-long capital improvement plan, Big Sky 2025. The Explorer Gondola features heated seats, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a mid-station providing access to some of the resort's most approachable terrain. This new lift will help distribute skiers across the mountain and enhance access to Lone Peak, building on the momentum from 2023 when we replaced the iconic original tram with a state-of-the-art 75-passenger model.

Also new this season is Kircliff, an all-glass observatory on top of Lone Peak. Cantilevered off the mountain's edge, this summit observatory creates a place where the immensity of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem can be experienced in jaw-dropping spectacle.

Spring is a special season here, when our legendary ski slopes meet the vibrant energy of a mountain town that's growing, evolving, and ready for adventure. In recent years, the town of Big Sky has blossomed with new restaurants, live music venues, and gathering spots that showcase both our Western roots and our modern mountain spirit.

We're especially excited to host you in the heart of Town Center for a lively evening at Tips Up, our ski-themed bar known for its good vibes, great food, and yes - a little retro ski karaoke fun. On behalf of the entire Big Sky community, we extend a warm Montana welcome and hope your time here is filled with memorable moments, mountain camaraderie, and plenty of Big Sky spirit.
