Mid-way through another month...Wow!

At this point we say goodbye to the 2012 Annual Backcountry Gear Test at Powder Mountain. Fifty testers and a pile of gear (over 400 skis!) got to experience another type of Spring skiing in Utah. Last year every day was a powder day, this year they truly got to test in all conditions with powder days, groomers, and Spring skiing at its best. You can read the complete story here.

We now turn our attention to welcoming 3200 of our closest college student friends to Ogden for the National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) March 29-31. When you see these folks wandering around the Weber State area or downtown, take a minute and make them feel welcome in our community!

Solas plays Irish music as well as anyone alive or departed, varying the mix of fire tested tradition and contemporary sensibility with ease.  This evenings concert, "Shamrock City," is a journey through music and song looking back 100 years to the *Richest Hill on Earth*, Butte, Montana, where Irish immigrant Michael Conway lived, loved and died in the copper camp.  Solas' music brings to life the social struggles and dangerous conditions that allowed only the strong and the lucky to survive.
