FYI – the latest on conditions at
Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort. We were open all day today. The start of the day, we
had 16 of 17 lifts open. Later in the day when the winds started to pick up, we
put The Backside, Lookout
Mountain and Comstock on
wind hold. BUT, we were able to keep five lifts in operation, accessing intermediate
and beginner terrain on Mt. Pluto and in the Northwest
Territory, including our teaching area and terrain parks.
We plan to be open tomorrow – regular
hours (8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.), and will continue to update our conditions reports
with what is open. Stay tuned.

16" Of New Snow, Still
Coming Down!
 The snow started to fall
last night and has been coming down hard all day. 5 FEET is
expected by late Saturday morning! Stay up to date with the storm
conditions by reading our Snow Reporter's Blog and checking our home page video.
We are updating lift
status and snow
totals as things change. Please be
sure and check the web site continuously throughout this storm system.
The forecast shows
this will continue into next week. The Weather Channel has set up base
camp at Northstar-at-Tahoe™ Resort
and is reporting storm conditions on national television.
If you are traveling, please take extra caution and research all road,
snow, weather reporting available to you on the Internet. On our web
site, check Live CalTrans feeds of I-80.
