Current Board of Directors
Following is a list of the current board members. This volunteer group makes SkiTops the successful organization it is. These people compile a lot of personal time each year supporting the future of SkiTops. For that effort, we thank them.
Board - August 2007

President
Term Ends: March 2009 / Next Term: March 2009 - 2011
Duties:
Providing leadership to the Association, in concert with the Board of
Directors, in all matters pertaining to the governance, overall direction
and economic well being of the Association.
Accepting and performing the role of one of the senior representatives and
spokespersons for the Association with respect to the ski industry, the
media and the general public.
Developing the agenda for the Board of Directors and General Meetings.
Presiding over the Board of Directors and General Meetings.
Vice President
Term Ends: March 2010 / Next Term: 2010 - 12
Duties: Provides support to the president and the board. This position is very dynamic.
Past President
No Term
Duties: Provides support and direction to the current president and board members based on past experiences. This is a very important position during the transition between presidents and new board members.
Secretary / Treasurer
Term Ends: March 2010 / Next Term: 2011 - 13
Duties: Monitor the accounting practices of the organization. Produce and review the accounting summaries at board and general meetings. Administers any accounting needs outside the day to day duties. This will include working with the accountant and IRS if needed.
Leads budgeting process, with a proposed budget plan prior to the annual Board meeting.
Industry Relations Committee Chair
Term Ends: March 2009 / Next Term: 2009 - 11
Duties:
To act as an intermediary between supplier and tour operator members of Skitops when issues arise that may affect the organization. Primary purpose is to be a conduit of information to present to the board and its members and decide what, if any, action should be taken to resolve issues at hand.
Position is also designed to keep abreast of industry changes. Other duties include assisting with Board related business.
Leads membership retention strategies working with the membership chair and tour operator liaisons. Focusing on the Supplier membership.
Membership Committee Chair
Term Ends: March 2009 / Next Term: 2009 - 11
Duties:
Position is responsible to contact, solicit potential SkiTops members (both supplier and tour ops). Follow up on leads given by other members. Send out membership letters & forms (via email) to potential SkiTops members. Review applications as they come in from potential members. Direct supplier applicants to send forms & payment to SkiTops administrator. Submit to the board potential members that meet the criteria. Attend board meetings and report on status of membership
Works with industry relations on member retention programs and focuses on the Tour Operator membership.
Public Relations / Advertising Committee Chair
Term Ends: March 2009 / Next Term: 2009 - 11
Duties: Oversees the marketing of the organization including the press program and the web site. Also manages the sponsorship sales programs for the Network and SkiTops University.
Coordinates the newsletter content.
Program Committee Chair
Term Ends: March 2010 / Next Term: 2010 - 12
Duties: To produce the Fall and Spring Network events.
